The Wonders of Travel from an Aspiring Journalist

Move. As far as you…

Move. As far as you can, as much as you can. Across the ocean, or simply across the river. Walk in someone else’s shoes or at least eat their food. Open your mind, get up off the couch, move.
-Anthony Bourdain

Stumbling upon this quote last night, I felt charged with positive energy and excitement. I felt so much excitement for what is yet to come in life. All of the journeys, the places, the friends, the experiences. Moments like this are so rare but are to be cherished.

Life can become so mundane and seem almost inescapable at times. It is so difficult to adventure out of day-to-day routine, especially with commitments such as school, exams, jobs, children. However, it is important to look towards the future and instead of seeing life as a curve, where the pinnacle is in your 20s or your 30s, but to see to it as a line that is constantly rising; as you grow more and more as a person every day.

‘Open your mind’ to things that you may think of as pointless, ridiculous, unsophisticated, difficult. Realise your differences and embrace them.
