The Wonders of Travel from an Aspiring Journalist

About

A Series of Scarlett

To exist is not to live, and to live is to travel.

Unfortunately, many people  confuse the idea of living with the concept of existing. For decades they pursue their lives without challenge, without adventure; with fear of change.

However, I fear routine, and long for adventure.

This blog is to inspire fellow adventure-seekers by documenting my travels; whether in a local cafe or in a foreign country. I seek to change the outlook of people and help them see the world as a place of remarkable treasures, just waiting to be discovered.

The Author

The content on ‘A Series of Scarlett’ is written by myself; a 17-year old student from London who aspires to be a travel journalist. Studying French, Spanish and English at A Level, I aim to take a Gap Year exploring the world and experiencing life outside of conventionality, mundane routine and exams, before obtaining a degree and pursuing a job in journalism.

Studying languages has made me even more aware of the diversity of cultures, societies and people that we are so lucky to have in the modern day. This blog is to help me gain experience as a writer by documenting my travels, whilst also building up a site of tips, stories and recommendations which people can refer to.

Overall, I hope to change people’s perspectives when viewing the world, and inspire others to live life with ambition.

Hi Scarlett, nice to meet you. I’m so impressed with your passion and ambition. What a great blog you’re putting together. When you feel such clarity and passion about something, as you do at your age, you can be sure you’re on the right track. Travelling, and writing about it is obviously the thing for you.
Thank you for visiting our blog, and for following. I hope you enjoy the stories of our journey, both inner and outer.
    Cheers
